Calculate the area between y=x^2 and y=-2x+3.
الأجوبة
Solving the two equations to get:
x^2+2x-3=0
∴(x+3)(x-1)=0
∴x=1 or x=-3
And the required area is:
A=∫_a^b|f(x)-g(x)| dx=∫_(-3)^1(-2x+3-x^2 ) dx
=[-x^2+3x-1/3 x^3 ]_(-3)^1=[-1+3-1/3]-[-9-9+9]=32/3 square units
